Salerno and its province, with about 1 million inhabitants, is in an excellent geographical position. Overlooking the sea, the town is a connecting bridge between central, northern and southern Italy.
Salerno is well connected, both for railway lines and for motorway network, and is only 54 km from the Naples-Capodichino international airport. Naples airport saw about 11,000,000 passengers transit in 2019 for 82,577 movements (take-off s and landings) for 15 national destinations and 91 international desti nations with 42 scheduled airlines.
Naples-Capodichino airport can be reached from almost all of Europe within 3/4 hours of flight.
The town of Salerno is also located at the intersection of the important A1 and A3 motorway networks.
Therefore, it is possible to easily reach the EUG 2026 competition venues in Salerno and Fisciano, even by car, as well as through the railway network as Salerno is one of the towns identified in the national plan as the headquarters of high speed.
The motorway network that connects the North to the South of Italy passes through the town of Salerno and / or Fisciano, home to competition venues and accommodation.
The town has municipal and provincial bus services, which offer convenient connecti ons to the various districts of the city.

How to get the Campus

BY BUS

From Salerno: Vittorio Veneto Square-Rail, courier Busitalia ran nr.7, 17, 27 (every 20ʹ) From Naples: SITA courier Via Ferraris, where is the INPS, at 300 meters from Garibaldi Square (Central Station).

 

BY CAR

From Naples:

  • – A3 Motorway (Napoli-Salerno-Reggio Calabria); continue towards the south and take the freeway Salerno-Avellino; continue towards Avellino and exit at University, at the roundabout turn right and continue to the right.
  • – A16 Motorway (Napoli-Bari); from barrier  East Naples merge onto A30 (Caserta-Salerno), direction Salerno, and go up the ramp to Avellino. Shortly after entering on the motorway Salerno-Avellino, exit at Fisciano-Mercato San Severino; at the end of the exit go to the right.

From the East (Bari): A16 Motorway  (Bari-Napoli); exit Avellino East and take the freeway Avellino Square-Salerno; exit at Fisciano-Mercato San Severino; at the end of the exit go to the right. From the South (Reggio Calabria): A3 Motorway (Salerno-Reggio Calabria-Naples); before Salerno take the fork for the A1 and A16 motorways, and, conti nuing in the directi on Avellino, exit at University, at the roundabout turn right and continue to the right.

 

BY TRAIN

From Salerno station: in front the station courier Busitalia for Fisciano University or Taxi

 

BY PLANE

Naples-Capodichino and Salerno-Costa d’Amalfi airports can be reached from almost all of Europe within 3/4 hours of flight.

From Capodichino Airport:

  • – SITA for Fisciano University (9:30, 13:30 and 19:30) and 16:00 for Salerno center (Place de la Concorde in front of the train station)
  • – bus Alibus (direct line of the Neapolitan Mobility connecting the airport to the railway station in Garibaldi Square. Periodicity average in minutes: 20 weekdays, Saturday 20, festive 20. Tickets can be purchased on board).

Transport Facilities for Partecipants

The organization committee will create arrival / departure info-desks for all participants in the EUSA Games 2026.

For those who travel by plane: Napoli-Capodichino Airport (NAP) and Salerno-Costa D’Amalfi Airport

For those who travel by train: Salerno Train Station For those who travel by bus: Salerno Bus Station (via Vinciprova)

The organization committee will provide shuttle buses for all participants upon their arrival, upon prior reservation, in order to organize a quick transfer from the arrival points to the Village, to the hotels and to the sports venues. Salerno develops along the coast and has good connections in terms of public transport. There are 23 bus lines with several stops, which make it easy to get around the city.
